Leadership Development for Healthcare Executives

Performing at a high level in today's healthcare environment is a daunting task. M. J. Campbell Associates has designed a leadership coaching process for the healthcare executive who wants to take his or her performance to the next level. This process consists of administering surveys to assess the executive's leadership competence, designing a customized action plan for high performance, and providing six months of one-on-one coaching.

A key element of this process is The Leadership in Health Services (LHS) survey. This multiple-rater assessment provides the healthcare executive with feedback about his or her management and leadership skills from key stakeholders. Developed in partnership with healthcare professionals, this instrument focuses on the management skills necessary for achieving operating goals. It also measures the critical leadership skills needed by management to help the organization compete successfully in the changing healthcare market.

Leadership in Health Services addresses the needs of middle and senior managers and executives whose responsibilities range from managing operational units to influencing others, planning strategically, and leading change. Some examples of healthcare executives using the LHS survey include CEOs, Executive Directors, Administrators, Vice Presidents, Department Chairs, Directors, Chiefs of Service, Department Heads, and Clinical Directors.

Benefits of Process:

The Leadership Development for Healthcare Executives process can accelerate critical skills growth, provide professional feedback, and eliminate years of frustrated attempts to reach career goals. The confidentiality of the process allows participants to develop new approaches and strategies with a skilled third party from outside the organization.
